Portals

How portals warp balls up the tier ladder, the chance per bin in every world, the Vault, pollen portals, dive portals and the portal meter.

Overview

A fresh launch can only be aimed at the three leftmost tiers. Portals are how balls climb: when a landing rolls the portal reward, the ball is pulled up to a portal at the top of the board and dropped again on that portal's own table, which is aimed one tier further right. Bins have no fixed "warp to" — a Grey landing that portals goes to the BRONZE PORTAL, a Bronze one to the SILVER PORTAL, Silver to the GOLD PORTAL and Gold to the EMERALD PORTAL. Emerald, Ruby and Diamond bins never portal.

A portal warp pays nothing by itself — no coins, packs, candy or cards on the warp landing; the loot is wherever the re-drop lands. The ball keeps its pollen, gold and reinforced state through the chain. Every trigger also ticks the portal meter.

NOTE
On World 1 · Classic the portal share can be boosted up to a hard ceiling of 40% of the bin's table; on the World 4 · Maelstrom dive board the ceiling is 20%. World 3 · Flora has no base portal chance at all — only pollen opens its portals. The World 4 · Maelstrom surface has no portals: the whirlpool is its road right.

Where a warped ball lands

Each portal re-drops on a table aimed at its own tier. The EMERALD PORTAL is the only one carrying Ruby and Diamond weight — which is why a Diamond needs the whole chain.

The Diamond chain

Put together, a World 1 · Classic launch ends in Diamond 0.0014% (1 in 69,413) times. Boosting the portal share of every link (rabbit, compass, mole) compounds through all four warps, which is why those buffs matter far more than their face value.

World 2 — one portal and the Vault

While the Glacier Gate stands, World 2 · Aurora has a single BRONZE PORTAL — every portal roll from any bin rides it, so nothing past Silver can be reached. Break the gate and a Vault Portal appears for 100 launches: Silver-and-up portal rolls chain into it, and its table is Ruby-heavy.

Only during a breach; Silver, Gold and Gold-side rolls chain here. 8% of vault balls exit at the FRONT peg — the only exit that can reach Diamond.

Diamond through the vault: 0.013% (1 in 7,680) per vault entry. The first Diamond inside a breach extends it by 25 launches (once per breach). Portal shares here are damped to fixed targets (Grey 20%, Bronze 22.5%, Silver 25%, Gold 27.5%).

World 3 — pollen portals

World 3 · Flora strips the portal reward from every bin. Instead, a ball carrying pollen (picked from ripe flowers, max 5 — Sun Hummingbird raises it) rolls a portal on every Grey→Gold landing at a flat 8% per pollen for the GARDEN PORTAL while it is still building, or 6% per pollen for the POLLEN PORTAL once it is laden (3+ pollen). Emerald, Ruby and Diamond landings never trigger — they are the cash-out.

The garden portal re-drops near the start and adds 8/512 of Gold weight per pollen carried, so a heavier ball re-drops richer; the pollen portal drops the ball straight into the gem bins.

HEADS UP
Generic portal-chance boosts (rabbit, compass, Marquee, cards) do nothing on World 3. Only Lucky Ladybug (and her card, garden portal only) and Meadow Mole's Tunnel Network multiply the pollen roll.

World 4 — no surface portals, dive portals

The World 4 · Maelstrom surface has no portals: the whirlpool swallows balls and fires them back out on its own richer table. A Bronze or Silver landing can instead erupt a water geyser (3% / 6%) that lifts every ball in that column back to the top.

The dive board underneath runs World 1's four portals on its own ladder — Grey 10%, Bronze 12.5%, Silver 15%, Gold 17.5% — boosted by the same pets as the surface but capped at 20%. Dive portals tick the portal meter too.

The portal meter

Every portal trigger adds 1 to the meter under the HUD (each world keeps its own). At 200 it resets and the Bonus Wheel spins: COINS 34% · JACKPOT 1% · GOLD BALLS 27% · BALLS 17% · YELLOW PACK 7% · GEMS 14%. The meter is unlocked by the Marquee milestone Portal Meter (2 stars). On World 3, picking a flower also ticks it; Solstice Fawn's Twin Suns can count a trigger twice.

Boosting portals

  • Lucky Rabbit — the portal-chance pet. One bin tier per star, and it only boosts a ball's first landing, not the re-rolls after a warp.
  • Portal Compass pet item — first landing only, and each extra copy is worth less.
  • Meadow Mole 3★ Tunnel Network — multiplies the finished portal chance of every teleport, on every world including World 3 and the dive board.
  • Owl Sage 2★ Portal Sage — once per ball, a portal warps one slot higher than it should.
  • All generic boosts run through a diminishing curve and can never push the buff past +75%; the World 1 share cap (40%) and the dive cap (20%) bind last.
