Getting Started
A new-player guide to Ballin Tycoon: the core loop, your first hour, what to spend on, common mistakes, a tour of the HUD and the goals that come next.
What is Ballin Tycoon?
Ballin Tycoon is an idle plinko arcade. You launch balls down a peg board; the coloured bin each ball lands in pays out — coins, gems, more balls, gold balls, portals and the odd sticker pack or die. Coins feed the ARCADE pinball machine, which is where your player level comes from. Levels hand out Marquee stars, stars climb a 100-row unlock ladder, gems buy pets from the claw, pets buff the board, and the gem bins slowly break the lock on the next world. Everything loops back into launching more balls.
It runs in the browser and as a phone app, keeps earning while you are away, and every drop rate in it is public — see Rates & Odds.
The core loop
- Launch balls.
You start with 500 balls and regenerate one every 30s up to your cap (500 to begin with). Tap LAUNCH, or flip the chip to AUTO to fire one every 0.5 s. Up to 100 balls can be on the board at once. → The board - Bins pay the loot. Seven tiers from Grey to Diamond (table below). Higher tiers pay more coins, drop gems and gold balls, and the top three chip the world lock. → Bucket rates
- Coins go into the ARCADE.
Every pinball launch costs 1,000 coins × your stake and scores candy
into the level bar. The Arcade machine is the only source of Arcade Levels — plinko balls never give XP. → The Arcade - Levels give bubbles. Each level bar has one reward bubble at 40%: they cycle +1 Marquee star → +1 ball power → +1% coin gain, so every three levels you get one of each. → Arcade Level
- Stars climb the Marquee. Your star count is your Renown; each of the 100 Marquee rows unlocks at a star count — the stake chip, the Portal Meter, Ticket Trove, pet fusion, guilds, dice, the vault… → The Marquee
- Gems buy pets.
A claw pull costs 200 gems in World 1 · Classic (+100 per world). Pets ride along with passive buffs; feed them gold balls
to level them, fuse three copies for a star, salvage spares for Pet Essence
. → Pets, Claw machine - Break the lock, hop worlds. Emerald, Ruby and Diamond landings damage the padlocked door beside the bins. Aurora needs 25,000 HP; breaking any lock pays 1,000 gems and each new world brings new bins, pets, pet cards, a Midway game and its own music. → Worlds
The bins (World 1 values)
Coins per landing are flat — they do not grow with your level — and later worlds multiply them (×1.375 in Aurora, ×2.275 in Maelstrom). Gem and ball drops are a chance per landing, not a guarantee; the exact odds for every world are on Bucket rates.

The Arcade level bar
Candy needed per level starts small and steepens; the reward bubble at 40% of each bar is where stars, ball power and coin gain come from.
| Level | Candy to clear | Total candy so far | Bubble (at 40%) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 760 | 760 | 304 candy → +1 Marquee star |
| 2 | 1,520 | 2.28K | 608 candy → +1 ball power |
| 3 | 2,280 | 4.56K | 912 candy → +1% coin gain |
| 5 | 3,800 | 11.4K | 1,520 candy → +1 ball power |
| 10 | 5,764 | 36.29K | 2,306 candy → +1 Marquee star |
| 20 | 10,190 | 116.04K | 4,076 candy → +1 ball power |
| 50 | 35,560 | 794.66K | 14,224 candy → +1 ball power |
| 100 | 91,531 | 3.94M | 36,613 candy → +1 Marquee star |
Each pinball launch lands in one of 5 bins for 10 or 20 candy × stake; the ★ centre bin (1.77% (1 in 56.5) of launches) is special — 65% of the time it opens the door for a candy card worth 1,000 / 2,000 / 4,000 × stake, otherwise it is a MEGA WIN that starts BALL RUSH.
Stakes
The stake chip (Marquee milestone 1 (1★)) multiplies both the cost and the candy of every launch, so a higher stake is faster, never better value. Stakes above ×2 only open while you are holding 80 launches’ worth of coins at that stake — spend below the bar and the tier locks again.

Your first hour
- Follow the tour. The game walks you through LAUNCH, coins, the ARCADE, the world lock, the world map and pet cards, then hands you a free claw pull that is always the Lucky Rabbit. Equip it — a pet does nothing in the inventory.
- Keep the balls flowing. Switch the chip beside LAUNCH to AUTO. Some landings pay balls back (Silver 2, Gold 4, Emerald 6, Ruby 8 in World 1, when the ball slot rolls), so a full reserve lasts a long time.
- Open the ARCADE as soon as you have 10K coins. Level 1 needs only 760 candy — a handful of ×1 launches — and its bubble is your first Marquee star, which unlocks the stake chip. Stay on ×1 until coins pile up.
- Claim the Welcome Tasks (the TASKS tile):
Launch 500 balls ·
Spend 100K coins in the Arcade ·
Level any pet to Lv 10. Each pays a free pet roll drawn from the four starter pets, so a fresh account collects all four without spending a gem. → Welcome Tasks - Grab the FREE GIFT in the SHOP: 100 balls, 50 gems and 1 green sticker pack every 8h.
- Do the daily quests. 5 tasks a day, each worth 100 balls + 25 gems + 5 weekly points; 50 points opens the first weekly chest (300 balls + 100 gems). → Daily Quests
- Save your progress. Playing as a guest keeps everything on this device only. Add an email (or Google / Apple / Discord) in SETTINGS → SAVE PROGRESS: nothing is lost, and you get a starter bonus of 1 free pet roll. → Accounts
- Watch the Founder tile. Reaching Arcade level 3, 7, 10 and 20 unlocks four one-time Founder rewards, including the Aurora Narwhal pet. → Founder rewards
What to spend on first
| Currency | Spend it on | Why |
|---|---|---|
| ARCADE launches at ×1 (1,000 each) | Coins have no other use. Every launch is candy, every level is a bubble, every third bubble is a Marquee star. | |
| Claw pulls (200 in World 1) | Pets are the biggest multiplier you control. Keep 100 spare later if you want to found a guild (milestone 6 (5★)). | |
| Feeding your equipped pets | 1 gold ball = 1 pet XP. Level the pets you actually have equipped; a common pet reaches Lv100 for about 9.93K gold balls. | |
| Launching | They are the fuel, not a currency to hoard — the cap stops regeneration once you hit it. | |
| Fusion (milestone 5 (4★)) and later Evolution (milestone 16 (15★)) | Salvaging a spare common pays 100 essence; three copies of a pet fuse into the next star for a rarity-priced essence fee. |
In the Shop the FREE GIFT is the only thing you need to touch early. If you do spend, the starter bundle’s Coin Corgi and the +250 ball cap are the picks that keep paying; nothing in the shop is required to reach any world.
Common mistakes
- Ignoring the ARCADE. Plinko balls earn coins but never XP. If your level is not moving, you are not launching in the machine.
- Chasing high stakes early. ×10 costs ten times more for ten times the candy — identical value, just faster. Raise the stake only when coins are piling up faster than you can launch.
- Leaving pets in the inventory. Only equipped pets buff you (and elusive pets must be activated). Check the PETS menu after every pull.
- Feeding gold balls to pets you will bench. Each world has its own loadout; feed the ones you keep equipped in the world you play most.
- Salvaging or fusing your only copy. Fusion needs three identical copies at the same star; salvage is for spares.
- Hopping worlds with balls in flight. World Hop waits until every ball has landed.
- Playing as a guest forever. A reinstall or a cleared browser loses a guest account. Save it — it is free and keeps your friend code.
- Forgetting the timers. The FREE GIFT (every 8h), daily quests (reset at midnight UTC) and the Sticker Vault (every 1d) all idle if you do not tap them.
Where things are
The HUD is the same on every platform: currency pills along the top, the board in the middle, LAUNCH with its AUTO/TAP chip underneath, a row of menu buttons along the bottom and tiles down the sides.

Next goals
Milestones are numbered by ladder row — the same MILESTONE number the game shows on a row's detail card — with the star cost in brackets (a level can hold two rows, so the row number runs ahead of the stars). The Arcade level column is when that star arrives (its bubble sits at 40% of that level’s bar). The first 18 feature unlocks:

Tips
- Your friend code (shown as
ARC-XXXX-XXXXin SOCIAL) is also your Support ID and your invite link — inviting 1 / 3 / 5 / 10 friends pays 20 gems / 50 gems / 100 gems / 1 free pull. - Every pet grant, from any source, has a 1 in 1,000 shiny roll.
- The claw guarantees a mythic on the 400th pull without one, and the first 50 paid pulls in each world after the first are 25% off (225 in Aurora, 300 in Flora, 375 in Maelstrom).
- Time Candy from the BAG is instant balls (30 Minute Candy = 60, 1 Hour Candy = 120, 2 Hour Candy = 240, 4 Hour Candy = 480) and can push you over your cap.
- Portals warp a ball back up for a second landing and tick the Portal Meter; 200 portals in a world spin the Bonus Wheel (Marquee milestone 2 (2★)).
